Arizona NFL and NCAAF Football Season Preview for 2021-22
Arizona State University (ASU) and the University of Arizona (UA) have played each other almost every season for approximately 90 years, with many suggesting it is the most intriguing Arizona sports betting matchup currently in-play.
NFL Football is also represented by the Arizona Cardinals, and although they've yet to hoist a Lombardi Trophy, oddsmakers suggest that it is only a matter of time before that happens. Will the Arizona Cardinals win the Super Bowl in 2022? Read on to discover our take on the NFL's Cardinals, as well as how we think the two NCAAF programs will perform in the PAC-12.
NFL Betting Odds For The Arizona Cardinals In 2021-22
Head Coach: Kliff Kingsbury
Starting QB: Kyler Murray
2020-21 Record: 8-8
Playoffs: No
Final Outcome: Missed Playoffs, 3rd In NFC West
2021 Odds To Win NFC West: +450
2021 Odds To Win NFC: +1600
2021 Odds To Win Super Bowl 56: +3500
Although the Cardinals are improving and barely missed the playoffs in 2021, NFL oddsmakers are predicting that they will finish last in the NFC West Division and will miss the NFL Playoffs following the 2021-22 season, but we're betting the Cardinals will do a little better than that.
The Cardinals offense has added former all-pro wide receiver A.J. Green, and if he can return to his former glory from his days in Cincinnati, they'll easily feature the best WR tandem in the league when he lines up alongside DeAndre Hopkins each Sunday afternoon.
While we do not expect the Cardinals to win Super Bowl LVI, we do expect them to compete for the 2021-22 NFL Playoffs and perform better than the pro football sportsbooks suggest with the odds above.
NCAAF Betting Odds For The Arizona State Sun Devils In 2021-22
Head Coach: Herm Edwards
Starting QB: TBA
2020-21 Record: 2-2
Playoffs: No
Final Outcome: No Postseason, 2-2 in PAC-12 (4th in PAC-12 South)
2021 Odds To Win PAC-12 South: +190
2021 Odds To Win PAC-12: +450
2021 Odds To Win 2021-22 NCAAF National Championship: +12500
The Arizona State Sun Devils are looking to bounce back from a mediocre 2020 season that featured the specter of COVID-19 hovering over each game. The Sun Devils are expected to compete with the Unversity of Southern California Bruins for the PAC-12 South title which puts them in the running to compete for the overall conference title.
Although they have extremely low odds to win the National Title in 2021-22, the Arizona Sun Devils football team has a legitimate shot at greatness if they can win the PAC-12 with an unblemished record.
College Football Betting Odds For The 2021-22 Arizona Wildcats
Head Coach: Jedd Fisch
Starting QB: TBA
2020-21 Record: 0-5
Playoffs: No
Final Outcome: Missed Postseason, 0-5 In PAC-12 (Last Place In PAC-12 South)
2021 Odds To Win PAC-12 South: +3500
2021 Odds To Win PAC-12: +6600
2021 Odds To Win 2021-22 NCAAF National Championship: n/a
The 2021-22 Arizona Wildcats are looking to build on the experience they gained last year during their winless effort. COVID-19 is now in the rearview of the might Arizona Wildcats football team as they'll look to defy their dismal NCAAF betting odds and step up their overall level of play.
We do not expect the WIldcats to compete for the PAC-12 title in 2021-22, but we do expect them to win a game or two and improve on last season's results.
